Gaby lee Lesson 7: Enabling JavaScript

 

Javascript is a program that runs from a website to make it work on your computer. You need to make sure that it is enabled on your machine to run ABECELEE. Here are the directions for how to do this:

Enable Javascript
Internet Explore

1. From the Menu, select Tools
2. Select Internet Options >> Security >> Custom level
3. Scroll down to Scripting (near the bottom of the list)
4. Select 'enable' for Active Scripting
5. Click OK
6. Continue on to Step 2: Enable Cookies as listed below

Firefox -- PC 1. From the Tools menu, select Options
2. Click on the Content icon
3. Make sure the Enable Java and Enable Javascript checkboxes are     selected
4. Be sure Block pop-up windows is NOT checked
5. Continue on to Step 2: Enable Cookies as listed below
Firefox -- Mac 1. From the Firefox menu, select Preferences
2. Click on the Content icon
3. Make sure the Enable Java and Enable Javascript checkboxes are     selected
4. Be sure Block pop-up windows is NOT checked
5. Continue on to Step 2: Enable Cookies as listed below

Enabling Javascript in Firefox on a Mac: Illustrations

If you use a Mac, you will enable JavaScript from the Firefox "Preferences" menu. How to access this menu is illustrated in "setting your browser cache" above. Click here to see this illustration if needed.

Once you are on the Preferences Window, here is how to enable javascript:
